Hey I got a taser story!!!

No.

Officers should be able to handle situations much better than they have been dealing with them.

Remember when they didn't have tasers? Did they randomly shoot people?

Then they shouldn't be using tasers like they have an itchy trigger finger.
Actually tasers shouldn't be used at all. They are lethal and they are abused.

Officers should have a high IQ and know how to treat people better than farm animals.

But, if you had seen the article I posted on a few of these threads you would see people with high IQ's are turned away.

I disagree.

And on that note, I'm going to go visit Kelly Madison's thread and masturbate furiously. Peace out Will. Oh wait...was I just acting black??:yinyang:

You should agree.

Yes, you need to change your vernacular. ;)

Will, I bet you're all "yessir" and "no sir" every time you deal with the cops. I don't carry a taser in my kit but I won't hesitate to hit someone with liquid Jesus if they are noncompliant or combative if a situation warrants. We're all tough guys on the internet, I know, but you seem to talk an awful lot of shit about the police and I was wondering if perhaps you've suffered a little baton therapy in the past.

Granted, the cops in question could have used a little common sense, discretion and situational awareness when dealing with a 76 year old driving a tractor, but none of us were at the parade and don't know if the subject was on crack, PCP, meth or just off his zoloft. Why is it when the police seem to fuck up like this they're automatically assumed to be guilty of something as opposed to the suspects they're dealing with? What happened to the presumption of innocence?

If someone loses their job over this incident I wouldn't be surprised or even upset but to blast an entire profession because a few ass hats get trigger happy is reprehensible.

Yes, they should have and for not doing so they should lose their jobs.

What is truly reprehensible is people who let power go to their heads and overstep their bounds.
These taser incidences should be on the decline not on the increase.

They should just be taken away.

You did good. Post them when you find them. ;)

Facial King was posting taser articles.

Its speculation but perhaps that is why the townspeople were up in arms. Bud must have been well known and well liked. Obviously, it's a small town.

I just hope a clear message is starting to seep into the national police consciousness.

What really bothers me, is how easily police spring into defensive supermode. They know they can throw you in jail. They also know the prisons receive Gov funding. This is why freed prisoners have such a hard time after they leave prison, imo. They struggle to find work. They are expected to pay their parole officers when they have them. They have to go check in during the day. What choice do they have but to go back to jail?

It is a vicious cycle. When cops start out in the morning, they need to start each day fresh, as far as possible, especially in a small town.

Wer'e not talking L.A. or Michigan or New York here. Or Detroit. Or Des Moines. Or, uh...never mind.
