If you ever ask me if I like beans I would tell you that is the dumbest question you could ever ask then say, "I absolutely do like beans! Wait. No I don't. I love beans! All kinds too. Well, maybe it wasn't the dumbest question ever but top five for sure because it's still an awful, awful question. Now listen, maybe for the first time in your God forsaken life! I like refried beans, I like black beans, I like pinto beans, I like chili beans, I like baked beans, I like kidney beans, I like garbanzo beans, I like Northern Beans, I like Lima beans, and I like green beans also apologizing to all the beans I forgot about that I would also definitely like and find delicious."

So tell me... tell us... Hey fellas... Beans. What do you think? You like 'em or no?

Yes, I too really like beans. Red beans and rice, refried, beans in chili, garbonzos in salad, and of course one of the greatest of all peasant foods, pasta e figoli (pasta and beans), usually canalli, or great northerns are used. Like baked beans, and green beans. Yep, I pretty much like them all. Oh, and a new form I've just recently eaten for the first time, charro beans.

Soy beans are pretty awesome. You can make milk, tofu, veggie meat, etc, or even just salt them and eat them as edamame with beer. Most versatile bean in my books.

I only allow Asians to make tofu for me. Regular Californians making tofu is like chewing on a tire. The Asians do a much better job and have good sauces to go with it. I can eat a bathtub full of Hot & Sour Soup.

I like Hot & Soup Soup and also Wonton Soup but not Egg Drop Soup or Chicken Corn Chowder. Chinese Soup is good when it's cold and you have a cold. The dripping mucous gives you a never-ending bowl of steamy soup.

I'm bit of a H&S soup connoisseur myself. I think you can tell the value of a Chinese restaurant by the quality of the H&S soup. If they can't get that right, it usually speaks to the rest of their dishes.
