I must be the only person in the world who has never had a problem pre-ordering anything at Gamestop. There was the one little hiccup with them not getting the Aliens vs Predator skins but the guy told to come back the next day with my receipt and they would give it to me. Sure enough, they did.
I just got Heavy Rain today from Amazon, It really good so far.

just finished the game and I think it was a great experience overall. I'm all about action and sports and that didnt stop me from enjoying this different kind of game.
However, the ending/endings lacked big time in the EPICness dept. I envisioned like a boy narrating something before the credits rolled ala "the crow" with Brandon Lee. A film noir needs that kinda thing. So needless to say I was really disappointed.
I went back and replayed the final chapter to get a different ending cause 2 wrong button presses in the end got Jayden and Madison killed and then Ethan blew his head off after that. That was my first ending and I was like WTF that sucked!!!!
So I went back and liked the different ending, everyone lived but Shelby. Was better but still lacked the EPICness I wanted while playing. So did you guys figure who the killer was before it was made "public"? I knew Ethan was gonna get to pork Madison...lol.

I didn't see the identity of the killer coming. I came up with plenty of theories about most of the characters, but no, I didn't see that coming at all.
And IGN ruined the romance for me. Says a month before the game comes out that someone gets to fuck Madison. I'm just glad there were no buttons to press to do it.

I started to get suspicious of Shelby but not until the very last minute so I was still pretty surprised. I thought that Ann, Shelbys Mother with alzheimers, whispered Ethan in Madisons ear in the hospital.
Madison had a very stunned look on her face, why I have no idea??? Giving away Shelby as the killer with her whisper to me wouldnt be that surprising I guess??? Sorry to hear IGN messed that up for you....
I just completed Heavy Rain today, I thought it was a really good game to play. I manage to keep Ethan and Madison alive then did it again to keep Jaydon alive. I think I'm going to play it again soon to get a different ending.

I was digging Shelby too. He was coming over as the "nice guy" "good hearted cop" and all. I thought he was gonna have alittle hand in catching the killer........and then we find out he was killing innocent kids.

I wasn't too sure who was my favourite character. Shelby was good, I liked Madison for most of the game and Evan was actually a rather interesting character. I'd say its between Jaydon and Evan for me.

Yeah, I know, but I just don't want anyone coming on here and learning the story of the game. I did that once with BioShock and it almost ruined the game for me.
Im trying......maybe give a shout to some of the other folks on here that are discussing who also finished the game. I'm a bit confused though with my post being a spoiler??? I just said he was acting "nice" and "good hearted" in the game, how is that spoiling anything:dunno:

While I'm on the topic of spoilers, I'd suggest that anyone who hasn't beaten the game should stop reading about it, here or anywhere else. I know it's natural to want to learn more about a game that may interest you, but this game would be just RUINED for you more so than any game I can think of if you find out too much about the plot. And unfortunately, there are a lot of people who will spoil the game for you, whether it be intentionally or not.
Trust me: Just go get this game. Now.
Anyways, who did you 2 guys think the killer was originally? I bit HARD on Blake. I actually had Jayden accuse him, but after watching the scene that followed, it was pretty evident that was the wrong choice.
I didn't really ever think the killer would be who it turned out to be.
Funny story about my stupidity: When the scene with him burning the evidence first started, I still didn't get it :1orglaugh. I was thinking "hey I don't wanna do that, why are you doing that" as I did the controller motions.

Well it's official. Quantic Dream have stated that they have discontinued the other 2 Chronicles for Heavy Rain. Why? Sony essentially told them to stop everything they were doing and focus all time to Heavy Rain: Move Edition.
In addition, Quantic Dream have also stated that after Heavy Rain: Move Edition is finished they will be moving on to other projects. Bye, bye DLC.
Here's a great game by a good company that was getting some final support before they moved on to a new project. What does Sony do? Find some way to screw it up just so they can sell their motion crap.
You know who buys that motion crap. Casual players. The people who play for like 20 - 30 minutes and then put the game away for weeks. I don't think soccer mom, grandma and grandpa are going to be interested in Heavy Rain. This goes for you too Microsoft, you don't get to escape this.
I'm not saying don't do motion control games. Fine, ride the gimmick train. You want to test the waters with hardcore gamers, fine but do it with games in development i.e.; new games. Don't re-do games for the sake of the gimmick.

The fans will love it so much that they'll line up to buy it again and those casual Wii fans, they can't wait to get their hands on a PS3!"

That and the fact we both live in CT. It's funny we said basically the same thing though. I didn't see the video until today. DSP's (and Free1Up for that matter) videos flood my youtube inbox so I delete them all without watching them. I got my info from wiki and the Game Informer article.
As far as a sequel to Heavy Rain, it won't happen. Quantic Dream said they don't believe in sequels and instead are working on a new IP after they finish with HR: Move Edition.
