HD has not been good for the porn industry

So not only do we now see every single little imperfection that 2 hours of makeup work as meant to hide. The girls in their late 40's now really look their age and some of the girls in their 20's look like they're in their late 30's

ive yet to be impressed by HD anything. im constantly looking at the new HDtvs and see nothing worth the price tag. considering the lack of tv i watch anyway, i won't own one unless its given to me. and then there's your player too.

however, all things considered, id prefer my girls to look more realistic anyway. so, in the end, i just don't give a fuck.

I've never understood the appeal or draw with HD or 3-D, and neither seem like they have any place in the porn industry. I wouldn't own one either.

I have a 40" flatscreen with a Samsung panel I bought new for $320,which has a gorgeous HD picture and is almost 3 years old.
Cheaper and better than any old analog tv I have ever seen.

Watch Avatar in HD and tell me it isn't a whole new world of TV.

My videos are shot with an HD camera, and really there's not much of a difference as far as my appearance goes. I look the same, you don't see my pores, I don't look any older or younger, you don't see my makeup any differently. The biggest difference is that with my new HD camera, the image is brighter, it captures more light, as opposed to my other one that made even the slightest shadows look darker than they really were. So overall, HD video is better because it captures content in a higher quality.

Plus, there's more to porn than the camera. If the model isn't that attractive, has crap makeup, and bad skin, she's not gonna look good. If the lighting isn't strong enough, there's gonna be shadows in all the wrong places, and if it's too harsh, the image will be blown out.

Perhaps you're watching the wrong porn. There's definitely some really great stuff out there. And you can't tell me that some girl's facebook cell phone duck face picture looks better than what you see on MetArt, SexArt, Brazzers, etc. If you do think that, then I might suggest checking out amateur porn sites instead.

I think the original poster is severely overestimating the aging effects of HD or severely overestimating the ability of non-HD to hide blemishes. It might make a difference if there is a close zoom in, but otherwise it's basically just a better picture of what was there before, which is nice, but the difference isn't like trying to look through heavy fog at something at a distance from the same scene on a clear day.
