Hawaii again declares Obama birth certificate real

HONOLULU – State officials in Hawaii on Monday said they have once again checked and confirmed that President Barack Obama was born in Hawaii and is a natural-born American citizen, and therefore meets a key constitutional requirement for being president.

They hoped to stem a recent surge in the number of inquiries about Obama's birthplace.
"I ... have seen the original vital records maintained on file by the Hawaii State Department of Health verifying Barack Hussein Obama was born in Hawaii and is a natural-born American citizen," Health Director Dr. Chiyome Fukino said in a brief statement. "I have nothing further to add to this statement or my original statement issued in October 2008 over eight months ago."

So-called "birthers" — who claim Obama is ineligible to be president because, they argue, he was actually born outside the United States — have grown more vocal recently on blogs and television news shows.

Fukino issued a similar press release Oct. 31, but was prompted to speak out again because of the renewed attention on Obama's beginnings. Hawaii's Health Department has been flooded in recent weeks with questions from individuals and several national TV news networks asking for proof that Obama was indeed born in Hawaii.

"They just keep asking over and over and over again," Health Department spokeswoman Janice Okubo said.

The whole thing about Obama's birth certificate has always been about bullshit. They are unwilling to accept the fact Obama was born in the United States but nobody raises a shit storm about John McCain who was born in fucking Panama. They could have argued that Obama didn't have a legitimate opponent and that they have to do the elections again with someone else going up against Obama but of course they don't do that. Logic isn't one of their strong suits.

I don't unconditionally despise Obama. I think he's probably a good guy to watch a ball game with and enjoy a cold beer. I just unconditionally hate almost every platform he campaigned upon and every appointment he's made so far. I do hate his wife, though.

So therefore you continue to encourage the myth that he's not really an American citizen even though you know it is a falsehood? Sounds to me like that hate goes a bit deeper than just a simple difference in political philosophies. "Hate" is such an extreme word anyway. It connotes an abandonment of reasonable thought and relies on pure emotion as its fuel source....usually not a good foundation on which to make sound judgments.

Kind of scary actually when people who really don't know someone yet they have such strong feelings of love or hate for them. Reminds me of those celebrity stalkers who have strong feelings of love/hate for people they don't know & occasionally act upon them.

As a Lakers fan I here this type stuff about Kobe(a guy people don't know) ,but I dismiss the talk & only hope no one ever acts upon these strong irrational feelings.



I can only assume besides the obvious hate for Obama( in extreme far right circles) it is his fairly 'exotic' upbringing/ancestry that makes these people believe this stuff may actually be true:dunno: Even Ann Coulter dismisses this nonsense about Obama not being a citizen.
