I think that too much porn definitely has a negative affect on aspects of relationships with normal women. What those aspects are may vary, and that's kind of a different conversation completely.

In terms of the question you asked, I'd answer no. I really don't think porn affects standards more than say - someone who watches a ton of prime time tv or hollywood movies. In any form of media, we're bombarded with beautiful women, but I'd say that most of us have developed two sets of standards which differentiate between celebrities and everyday girls.

Take paris hilton for examples. I constantly see people talk on message boards and comment sections about how she's not that hot, doesn't appeal to them etc (forget about her personality for now, just think physically). But if paris hilton was never a celebrity, and moved in next door to you, i think everybody would think she's a 9 or 10. But when most people rate her they have this super high celebrity expectation and would probably give her a 6 or 7 out of ten.

Has any of you guys watched so much porn that normal women aren't physically satisfying to your eye anymore? By 'normal' women I mean women that live in your town, women you see at work or at school.

This may seem odd but porn has risen my standards for women dramatically. In my town you'd have some girls who are ugly but have big breasts and an overall nice body. Or you would have a really cute girl with a body of a 13 year old boy. And all of the cute, busty girls already have a boyfriend or have a bitchy personality that makes it too difficult to have a civil conversation with them.

Ive seen enough porn now to put me in the position that I dont find porn stars partiuclarly attractive anymore. Oh there are one or two I do like, primarily for mould breaking qualities.

Fake tanned, fake breasted, bad dye job, make up worth of a paint scraper and then there is the opposite end of the spectrum, the underage looking "innocent", flat chested stick figures that are newly 18 and ready to drop to their knees and film their first time with a cock up their ass for the applauding audience paying $9.95 with no renewal fee.

Porn is now so blissfully unrealistic that the discenrning line between reality and what you see on the screen is so easy to distinguish its almost laughable. Oh im sure there are those out there who enjoy a porn stars life in the bedroom, but I think they have their own issues.

Got to agree with this. I'm almost certain that if not for porn, the range of physique I'd be into would vary no more than Kelly Brook to Cheryl Cole.

I certainly wouldn't be attracted to women who resemble the full-figured models on sites like Scoreland or Polish Busty. At the other end of the scale, I'm pretty sure women who looked like the waif-like nymphs on Sapphic Erotica wouldn't appeal either.

Most women I talk to are far more critical of themselves than I ever am.

No, porn hasn't really changed my physical view of women. It's allowed me to see physical features and characteristics that turn me on, and without porn (soft or hardcore), I probably wouldn't know that. And that's probably caused me to expand my horizons when I look for sex partners. But no, it hasn't caused me to exclude... probably that I'm more willing to include.

The downside of porn for me: vanilla sex seems boring to me a lot of the time now. Watching porn opened my eyes to all sorts of things that I would have probably never thought of on my own. An average looking girl, who has some exciting kinks about her, is much more appealing to me now than a hot girl who blushes at the thought of anything more than wearing lingerie = booooooring. A romantic dinner, and lovemaking in front of a blazing fire is nice... just not all the time. I couldn't deal with just having vanilla forever. And I've found that I can't really have very good intimate relationships with girls who are totally vanilla - cause sex is a part of the relationship. We can be friends, and that's OK too - but that's about as far as it's going to go.

No, watching porn hasn't altered my appreciation of the female form at all. There are so many women I know who are "normal" and yet I am as attracted to them as I would've been had I never seen an ounce of porn in my life. That being said, there's something about really being in love with a woman that alters your perception. I find that the 'normal' women I see daily are just as appealing as pornstars, if not more. There's nothing better than talking to a girl and seeing her smile, smelling her perfume, all that. And I'm not even talking about a girlfriend or wife. Just the girl at the checkout counter or a waitress at a restaurant. A nice smile from a cute girl always makes my day. I agree with most of what you're saying. Porn has actually opened my eyes to how many attractive women their actually are in "Real Life." I think the explosion of breast enhancement in society has been the greatest thing for men since...hmmm.

I think the quality of beauty of women in porn has dramatically increased...although the quality of scene/performance has gone down...
