It was a very sarcastic and satirical movie.

But all the sarcasm and satire was aimed directly at The Simpsons. Plus the movie was, mean, the jokes and the delivery wasn't prime-time humor. It reminded me of the first 3 seasons.

The Simpsons is always(almost wrote it backwards) funny.

I thought it was good, but not great. Some very funny moments, especially in the first half hour, but it seemed to tail off a bit nearer the end. Definitely worth seeing tho.

the show hasnt been good for about four to five years. :1orglaugh

Yeah, for me maybe not that long, but I noticed about 3 seasons ago the show went downhill, jumped the shark as they say.
The writing just changed rapidly and dramatically and it wasn't that funny or clever anymore. As if the writers just stopped caring.
I think they know the show almost finished and the movie is just one huge payday to collect on for all eternity.
Imagine the profit in anything animated? The payroll must be tons cheaper than a motion picture.
I'll see it one day.......

nope but i have premier tickets for when it comes out in denmark (3 August)

I've never watched the Simpson's so I doubt I'll watch the movie. Unless knowing a lot of the characters in the past isn't required. Otherwise I wouldn't get the jest of the movie.

I haven't liked The Simpsons for about 10 years, it may have to do with the fact it hasn't been the same since Phil Hartman was killed.

I was a fan of Groening's later show Futurama, but even that got rather tedious near the end. And it's coming back next year on Comedy Central.

But I'm indifferent about that too.

So me no go on the movie show!

No haven't seen it yet I'm not really in too the Simpson's.

I saw it yesterday. It is way better than I expected actually. I thought it would be as bad as the newer episodes but it is a lot more like the old ones. I wouldnt tell anyone to rush and see it, but it is definately worth it for fans of the show.

santa's little helper had the best lines of the flick, even though they were subtitled.
