I've given a few out, and taken a few.

The neg reps I'm more likely to give, are to those that have missed the bleedin obvious, like in the ***** section where, say Tara Reid thread will be at the top, and then some one has started a new thread with "This is my all time fav Tara Reid pic! Wank to this one!" type of thing. Usually to newbies more than anything who havn't read the rules or hit the seach button, but I've probably got a bit of an OCD about databases and organising files.

The ones that I have taken are no biggy. Probably help me find the boundires more than anything and as my job/life doesn't rest on my rep, postivie is good, negative is just a disagreement or area of improvement.

I can't recall ever giving negative rep, though there have been times when it's seriously crossed my mind. The only time I've ever gotten it was confusing. I had posted something like a "Nice link!" in some lovely lady's thread, and got negative repped for it :dunno:

Didn't much matter. I sometimes worry that my more conservative views will bring on the negative rep, but luckily everyone has been kind. :D

Out of interest, when you check your rep sheet, bright green obviously equals good rep, but what does the darker green mean?

I have a few dark greens with positive comments, where as I'd expect red to be a neg rep. So what are the colours equal to?

I never gave it to no one but got it before.

Very rarely .. though when I have it's been mostly to bigots and misogynists.

damnit, Count. You make me want to have count chocula cereal every time. and the guy with the fruit brute too (I forget which one, I think the avy has been cahnged). We just need to get frankenberry and boo berry in here!

I just got some...twice for the same post!:nanner:

These are rep by members with zero rep power. It doesn't matter whether they rep you positively or negatively - these always are displayed as a blue square.

I have given negative rep to people who were calling me names, who were insulting me because of my conservative views and also because I truly despise people who have a holier than thou attitude and who think that just because they are friend of an ocsm they can allow themselves to drag others in the mud (it happened in 2006). I give positive rep 90% of the time and negative rep 10% names.

Just for the record, meesterperfect had the Fruit Brute. And I loved it while it lasted.....

(though originally I thought he was declaring himself some sort of gay tough guy)

Perhaps another thread • but what the hell

Do you experience dry spells in Rep ?

And out of nowhere, you're simply just showered with them ?

Is this from a day of dazzling brilliance, or mere chance ?

the latter
