no, but if i had to...
we've argued plenty, it came close before, just because we're both crazy, but my dad is a nice guy and has never hit me once in my life. i could only see it happening during a drunken argument, but thats unlikely, we're both too rational.

My Dad left my mother for another woman when I was 14. We weren't close before then, because he was always out sneaking around on her. Don't get me wrong, my mother can be quite insufferable at times (i.e. most times). Looking back on them now from an adult point of view, the fact that they were ever married is so fucking illogical given their respective personalities.

I would fight him if it came to it, but I wouldn't fuck him up too bad...after all he is my one and only father. He is 5'8" and around 185# and I go 6'2" and around 230#.

So, STDiva, give it serious thought about consequences with the relationships with everyone in your family, and do what you must.

Well not my dad, though I'd love to really and honestly tell him what I think of him but I don't think I ever will, but I've gotten into a couple of fights with my mom. My mom and I have a GREAT relationship, so long as were NOT living together. We can not live together, its all bad.

Nope, never. There was no reason.....

I haven't seen him much when I was a kid.

There were even six years (from when I was 8-14) where we had no contact at all. (No, he was not in jail! And me neither! :D )

And now we have barely any contact again....

I think he is not very proud of his son. But I don't care!

I dont have a great relationship with my old man, but never will I raise a hand to him because of anything I did. But if he goes bat shit crazy on someone else I care about sure as hell he aint gonna follow through on it. Respect your elders right?

The summer I turned 18 I was playing basketball in the driveway. Someone elbowed me in the face and broke my glasses. My dad got pissed about my glasses getting broke and I told him to "Chill the fuck out old man" and it was on. He got one good shot to my left eye, but I got ahold of him around the waist, popped my hips and planted him right on his shoulder. He missed about a month of work. I left that day. About four days later he calls me up and tells me to move back in. When I got back home the first thing he does is shake my hand, looked me in the eye and tell me "Well I guess I'm not the bad ass I thought I was".

I get along with him great now. When my mom was alive she always said that the best thing that ever happened to our relationship was when I moved out 6 months later. There just was not enough room in one house for two stubborn ass alpha's too co-exist.

no, but there were a couple of times that i should have, i was to young at the time and it wouldn't have made much of a difference.
