Yup, both. Jail for about 2 weeks, with bread, a bit of soup and some tea. Slept on mats with 6 others in a stinking cell right next to the pisspot.
In prison, in a cell made for 41, with about 50 inmates. No bed, no sheet, squeezed inbetween two guys, one of them stone cold killer, for about 3 weeks. The killer had murdered some poor person just down the road from me. I almost died from exposure. (Not just killer boy who wanted to show me his cock). Yuk.
My bail was 30 000. The prosecutor tried every trick to delay the hearing until the judge lost her temper.
Perhaps I should mention the air was usually thick with smoke - tobacco rolled in newspaper, and marijuana. Once it was so thick I had to stand next to a window just to breathe. You learn a lot in prison - how to make friends, how to treat others.
"When days are dark, friends are few."
