Unfortunately, people are the same lying, cheating two faced manipulating snakes no matter where you go.
At least you can fuck the women...I was never much for sex with men.:D
Occasionally there is someone who doesn't fit the description. Makes it not so grim...

so true.
occasionally there is.
I guess thats why they call it hope.

Good luck with that. Getting into America is a bitch.

You mean permanently? Ie its hard to get a residency permit?

Well I am (sorta) skilled labour, I have 2 degrees and will soon commence a third when I sort the funding out.

Maybe a PhD at Cal Tech can be my ticket to California.

The secret ingredient? MY BALLS
I'm single, live in OH. Nothing good has ever happened here. My brother lives in Chicago- I love it there- its just vibrant- a lot going on, a lot of jobs compared to here. I despise my job, don't have family here. I'm sick of it here. I just want to get up and move- has anyone ever done this- who just said fuck it, and one day just relocate to a different part of the country, w/o a job lined up. Is it scary? Or 'exciting' type of scared? I'm really contemplating it- I have saved some money- I figured I could live with my bro for a few months.

It would be stupid to relocate without having a job, especially right now.

FYI - I'm originally from Cleveand. I've lived in Chicago for a few years and it's fucking expensive here. Unless you really want to pay $5 for orange juice, stay where you're at. That's why I'm moving out for a while. It's so fucking expensive and it just drains your bank account faster than you can put money back into it. My advice? Don't move here right now. You won't be able to afford it.

when I was 19 my best friend got married and his wife lived in a different city than we did, her hometown was about 6 hours north. after they tied the knot, he moved to the city where she lived, without a job or a place to live.

he moved in with his wife and was able to find work really quickly, they eventually moved to a bigger place

it was at this time in my life that i was working at a dead end job, and making very little money. my friend asked me to move up to where he lived.

after a lot of contemplating and hesitation, i decided to just quit my job and move up there. i decided it was time for me to have a change of pace in my life

i had no job and was going to sleep on my friends couch

it was a great change for me, i soon got a job where my friend worked and was able to move out on my own. but 1 year later my friend told me that he and his wife were going to move to the town that we both moved from

i decide that i was going to stick it out for a while longer and see what happens, but after about another year, i got bored of the town, and was lonely, because i had no friends and family there

so, i moved back to the town i moved from in the first place and crashed on my buddies couch again, until i found a job and a place of my own

Stay in London

London is cold and dreary. California is sunny and hot. Sunshine makes me happy.

I've always wanted to live in California, blame TV, blame Hollywood, but I brought into the dream.

Is it really bad? It doesnt have to be LA, I had an associate who lived in San Diego for a couple of years, loved it so much he's back there. It could be Pasadena...

Give me the inside scoop.

Its a pay off isnt it? Big cities are by their nature crowded, expensive, grimey, crime ridden...and yet exciting, opportunity full, happening places where one can dream.

The small towns etc are peaceful no doubt, cheaper too, but one gets bored out of his mind.

Only time I got up and moved was then I joined the Army. Other than that, I've lived here all my life.

People rag on LA all the time but overall it's a great city, especially for younger people.

The climate's ideal, the women are incredible, there's tons to do, the air quality has improved tremendously since the 1960s/70s.

The worst feature is the traffic. It's nightmarish.

California isnt a bad place to Live its just overrated because of hollywood.. As far as people go depending on where you live they can be really nice and easy going or they can be really stuck up and rude assholes.. Not to mention you have to deal with earthquakes all the time.. I like London because general speaking people from the Uk are are very nice people and your culture is a lot better then anywhere in America

i moved to florida from DC without knowing anybody in florida

Dude I just wanna move to Alaska and live in a cabin. I could set up a solar panel system too. It'd fucking rock. Just do it man, you're lucky to not have anything tying you down, so you're able to move where you please.

I did this 5 years ago...best decision ever.

No job, just a wad of cash and just left (researched months ahead of time, though). Awesome, seat-of-your pants type of experience (sink or swim).

If you're in OH (midwest) yeah, that's about a good excuse as any. Good luck
