Terrorism still exists, so... no.

The question is: is it possible to win the 'war on terror'? To me, the idea seems kind of like a war against war. Killing to stop killing. I know the intent is to stop the killers from killing innocent people, but I'm not convinced this is the best way to do that.

I don't have any better (realistic) ideas either though.

you can win against a faceless enemy...the "enemy" we're fighting has no sovereign nation or absolute ruling body or even a homeland, therefore there is nothing that can be done to destroy it

Is somewhere outhere.
I guess from an American point of view they have, with regards to getting
rid of Hussein,Bin Laden and Gadaafi. But they haven't got rid of the threat
of terror,as it can happen anywhere and at any time.

So I'm sitting on the fence with this one :dunno:

No...and they NEVER will. Killing Bin Laden, meant nothing, fighting there, to keep them away from here, is the biggest load of bullshit EVER! We only have one chance, and it will never happen. We pull our soldiers out of ever other country we occupy, stop supporting EVERYONE, and ANYONE, with aide, and start mind our own fucking business.
