Not everyone has a PC either, so Im not going to buy a brand new pc to buy a game no matter how good it might be. I bought an xbox for Halo, and now ive upgraded to a 360 which i regret since the games for it have been absolute shit in comparison to the hype we were promised, it seems unless you have a broadband connection then you lose a lot of the games elements. Nor am I going to bin any old console I have just because a new one comes out, i still have my PS1 after all and my xbox found a new home with my sister, since the 360 was backwards compatible what was the point in hoarding it. So what if you can custom build a pc, you might build it with a set game in mind but what happens when a game comes out you cant play cause the specs it needs are outside what you built, it could happen. All pc games lately have also been shit, I havent seen one single PC game in a long time that had any real potential other than showing off whatever flasy graphics the designers were able to put into it.
As for bill gates relationship to the xbox, who gives a shit, its a good console where up until a point the quality of the games countered the fact there werent many as opposed to the 100's of ps2 titles that littered the shelf and offered minimum playability and value for money.
Nor do I care about the PS3, everyone has their own preference over which console they want more, I dont want anything to do with the console and only people who have more money than sense will buy both simply because they think it will make them seem cool to their 15 year old friends.
End of the day the 360 really doesnt have much keeping it afloat, the multiplayer element is probably the only redeeming quality to it. Im far to picky over what I play to spend £50 a pop on a game that will inevitably be shit in single player mode only to be redeemed online, I dont want to spend every night of my life online (granted I do play infrequently) just to get my moneys worth, frankly people who do have my pity. There is more to life that the fucking console you play, the gamer points you have and just how many games you own!
