Guns do not save lives

Ill put up my house to see you defend yourself with a fucking cricket bat against a gun. I weighed about 120 pounds at the time and this was a big guy and in shape. So let's say he had no gun and I had the baseball bat. I hit him with it once which is pretty much all I'd get and he takes it on the forearm or the shoulder. Then what? You gonna tell me that I could use it in close quarters too against a guy who has 150 pounds on me? Come on dude, don't be fucking naive. Plus, I had NO IDEA if he had a gun or not. He didn't show the knife, since he had just climbed an 8 foot wooden privacy fence. I heard him hit the ground and moving through the bushes in the landscape and I knew it was a person. I am undecided if I should have shot him or not. He earned it, but it worked itself out for the moment.

It was just a joke dude....you have discourse, or intercourse...not gettin any, so I get discourse. Wow, I thought that was a pretty good one. Glad you didn't pay a cover charge, aren't you?

Will you be here all week? I'll try to catch your act sometime when I'm not being so serious. :D

If you didn't see the knife, you probably did the right thing, but there's also castle doctrines that come into play, combined with restraining orders. Plus, the fact is, it isn't easy to shoot someone, it just isn't. I don't care what anyone says. If you have to protect yourself, or family, it's easier. But doing it will change a lot of lives, so it's never something anyone should take for granted.

THAT'S WHY Anyone that owns a gun, and has a CCW needs to know the laws IN THEIR STATE. They differ from one to another, and it's the homeowner/gun carriers responsibility to keep up to date on all new, and changing laws. If someone appears in front of a judge and says "I didn't know what the rule was", the judge will likely tell you, "Ignorance of the law, is no excuse".
