Disgraceful and disgusting example of another instance of workplace retribution. Apparently, the perp had a grudge to bear against the two unfortunate victims over his dismissal from the same station where they all worked. He had a history of aberrant anger episodes and obviously planned this well in advance....posting the events as they unfolded on Facebook (Facebook is an evil entity but that's another subject for another thread). How this lunatic was able to purchase his Glock without any issue is troublesome. You can say "don't blame the inanimate object" all you want but a gun was what he used to kill them and, without it, things would have likely been very different. The ease with which this individual was able to acquire said inanimate object is a problem....second amendment or not.
The problem is with the verbiage in the amendment. It provides ironclad protection for any citizen to have ready and unencumbered access to a gun. Until or unless we are willing to amend the constitution to provide some safeguards against lunatics like this fucking nutball having easy access to guns, this type if thing is only going to proliferate. When the amendment was scripted, flintlock rifles were state of the art. Weaponry available today is much different and much more deadly, easily hidden and can be used with lethal results to kill multiple victims. Our founding fathers had no inkling of this possibility when they drafted the amendment.
My heart goes out to the victims and their families and friends....young professionals with their whole lives ahead of them....snuffed out in a few seconds by some crazy motherfucker with a gun. Really a sad story. :crying:
