woy, I dont hate ps3 exclusives, I am just saying they are way overated. Sony has really stepped on thier perverbial dixk with golf cleats on with this new system. Yes maybe in 5-6 years it might be a good system. Guess what, 5-6 years there will better hardware out there and probably new consoles coming out. So hmmm wait 5-6 years for good games to come out on a system that is 7 years old, or buy a new system with better hardware for probablythe same price as the 7 year old system? Plus to tell you the truth, I hate playing games alone, and right now xbox is the only one really doing it right and the developers have realised this. woy your trashing the 360 games about as much as I am on the ps2 games, I would say ps3 but hmm they dont have any games on the ps3. Honestly I havent seen anything coming out on the ps3 that looks very interesting, yes lair looks like it could be neat, but we all know how sony hypes and doesnt deliver.

I hate mass effect 'cos I don't like RPGs not because it's on the 360. I'm an FPS/Adventure/Racer kinda guy. Secondly, I don't hate the 360 nor do I hate it's games. I would have bought one buy now but I need to be interested in more than 2 games before I make a $400+ investment. I'm not the one rejoicing in a thread about a company's stock falling you're the one. I could care less whether Sony wins or loses money nor do I care about MS or Nintendo losing money. The reason I called you a fanboy is because you said PS3 has no appealing games, you made up a lie about GTA5, and you are making predictions about the future. I've done none of these things, all I have said is that I like the PS3 and that's it. If there was any company that I was almost becoming a fanboy for it was Sega. I loved the Dreamcast until it died. Ever since then I don't attach any sentiments to a video game console. I'm just defending the PS3 right now 'cos I feel it's being wrongfully attacked. I'd do the same if it was a 360 or Wii being attacked in a fanboy thread.
I personally want both systems. There's games on/coming out for both that I want.

As any unbiased gamer can see it takes a while for killer apps to release on any console.
You see what you don't get is that the PS2 had the most diverse game library out there last gen. If you wanted action adventure they had God of War, you wanted racing they had GT4, you wanted shooters they had SOCOM. Sure the quality of their FPSs were low but that's what I have a gaming PC for. In fact, the only reason I needed the original XBox was for Halo and I bought the game on my PC instead. As I speak the PS2 is still outselling all the next gen consoles because of it's extremely strong library. The idea that the original XBox had the games that appealed most to my tastes is debatable.
I totally agree with you on that , All consoles can have good games depending on a person's point of view . I prefer XBOX 360 , you like PS3 and no matter what people say or do we will continue to like those consoles more than others . It's always a matter of what games a person likes .

Couldnt even use the supposed tilt function, the car would over react. Yeah umm nothing more to be said, sony has no games, and the games they got that the 360 has, well they are poorer quality games. Sonys graphics cant handle what the 360 has.Its cell processor just doesnt work good for games.
:1orglaugh Stop, you're making this too easy. Oblivion runs and looks better on the PS3 so I've disproved everthing you just said. A crappy made port from ACTIVISION doesn't mean the PS3 has weaker hardware than the 360. COD3 was a bad port on the PS3 and in no way represents what the PS3 has to offer graphics wise and that's why I sold it today. If I remember well the 360 also had it's fair share of crappy looking ports when it launched (Quake 4 and GUN are just a few examples). The reason it's hard to port games from the 360 to the PS3 now is because the PS3 is harder to dev for and the devs need time to get used to the hardware. GTHD and Motorstorm already look better than any racer I've seen on the 360 and you know I'm right. Lair, MGS4, Heavenly Sword, and FFXIII easily stand up to any 360 game I've seen and in some ways surpasses them visually. To say that the PS3 has weak hardware is to live in a state of utter fanboyism at this point. Even though I believe the 360 is weaker than the PS3 I wouldn't stoop as low as saying that the system is weak. I believe that both systems have their strengths and weakness. I bought the PS3 for the overall package. That is, the blu ray player, the exclusives

I completey agree with your idea woy. It's all about personal tastes. You prefer PS3, I prefer Xbox360 just with the reasons you said, games. Almost nothing has interested me on the PS2/PS3 with the exception of God of War, Shadow of the Colossus, and Katamari Damaci. I am a huge shooter fan, and a huge online gamer, and Xbox360 is the best at those, so naturally I'm attracted to that console.
Well you'll be pleased to know that Katamari is now coming to the 360 so now we can all enjoy it

Wo, its interesting to read through this post 4 years later. Sony really has under performed this generation. Yeah the xbox did have alot of technical issues with the red ring of death and all, but it really produced the real good games. Also, the developers who would have just developed for the ps2 and not the original xbox realised they had to get their game on the 360 this generation.
I would have to say I predicted this overall. I know someone is going to knock me for saying that, but Woy said how GTA5 was better and the people voted for the best racing sim. Forza2 and Forza 3. Final fantasy series was on both consoles and guess what, it crapped out. The mass affect games have been bigger by far in the U.S. and western Europe.
Wonder how close we are getting for the next round of consoles to come out. I think this next round I will not be an early adapter. I might set this one out for a few months till I can weigh out my options.

Great post DarkWarrior it is neat to see what we ended up doing with games from 4 years ago. Dont get me wrong. I own a PS3, but i do believe I will not buy all 3 console next generation. I noticed I hardly ever play my PS3, my Wii I have a kinect. Next gen system will probably microsoft only.
