"GTA 5 been in dev. for over a year".Where do u think the setting will be?

GTA works in cycles so at no surprise would it be an enlarged beautifully detailed ViceCity. I wouldn't be surprised for some Stories from Vice City games. I would love to see Ocean Drive with next gen graphics and even the Malibu club. I realize people want to see another country and Tokyo would be great but I think it's smart, money wise, to continue the cycle of Liberty City, Vice City, San Andreas, and maybe eventually London, Vegas, or Tokyo.

I know what you mean. But at that cost they are making themselves lazy. And not very inventive either. So yes they are over rated as a developer if all they do is work off of past glories all the time. If they are so talented then why don't they create a whole new city. Something fresh and exciting.

It just kills morale thinking about the cycle of Liberty, Vice, San An, Liberty, Vice, San An, Liberty, Vice, San An, Liberty, Vice, San An, Liberty, Vice, San An, Liberty, Vice, San An.

It IS time they created something fresh in terms of cities for the series.

there was GTA London all them years back on PS1 if anyone remembers it, thats the only one thats been done outside of the USA. GTA is one of the best games of all time and all, but it does need to branch out and try somewhere different.

if they DID do it in London / England, a mod type feel to it would be pretty cool i think, being able to dress your character up in loafers and lambretta clothes lol :D

It's not gonna go that long, I just would love to see Vice City and even San Andreas the way we saw Liberty City which was clearly not a lazy process. The three cities are GTA and have more options when better technology comes out so why not use it.

They've done NY a couple times, Cali and FL. Why don't they do Boston for once? Or Denver? Plenty of violence there.

I thought GUN was the best western so far. I'm hoping Red Dead Redemption is just as good.
Gun was awesome. But I was pretty dissappointed at the end after I beat the game. There was nothing to do. I had a fully armored horse and no one to use it against. All I could do was to go into town and cause a "Showdown." Wow. I'm really looking forward to Red Dead Redemption. I'm pretty dissappointed about the date being pushed back so far (5 months) but I bet it will be worth the wait.

Didn't they already do Vegas...?

And Chinatown Wars dealt with Yakuza stuff as well...

I say Seattle, only everyone would get lost and end up dying in Tacoma...:1orglaugh

Yeah, Tacoma is nasty. Pierce County sheriffs are on every single episode of Cops damn near.

The series NEEDS to move away from the US now at least for a couple of games in the series. Liberty, Vice and San Andreas, are old news. Yes the games that used those cities might be good. But it IS time to add a breath of fresh air to the locales now. There's more to the world [and world of crime] than just the US. So I hope they do base it in another country. I look forward to it if they fix the fucking shit car and bike physics.

There are plenty of other citys in the US that have been overlooked. I argee about VC, LC and SA being over done. I'm sick of them too. Why not Seattle, Denver, Boston, DETROIT? Plenty of violence! Keep it American!

itd be cool if you could travel to another continent make it like two san andreas layouts where you have a handful of cities on each continent im pretty sure they made an attempt for that idea in san andreas theres a mission where you fly your plane way the hell out over the water then all the sudden your in liberty city (just an office building) my thought would be they do europe and north america. itd be like london paris and amsterdam and then ny, boston and montreal(just to add some color and give you a shit ton of stars when you cross border from canada to us without papers and erasing stars when crossing us to canada. ohh wait i just had a better idea. make it vietnam war era put in a few missions where you have to smuggle drugs out of vietnam and you have to impersonate an officer.

Come on Hutchinson, Kansas!

I think maybe if they should do it in 1930's L.A. Or 1930's N.Y.C it wouldn't really suck but then again people wouldn't play it that much so maybe keeping it as modern day would b best but set it some outside the u.s. Maybe Germany, Amsterdam, Italy, France, japan, Russia, those are the places I think would be good for the new GTA5

They wont do that cause Rockstars new game "LA noire" is coming out this year. For those of you that dont know, LA noire is a crime drama similar to GTA but different and its set in 1940's Los Angeles.

I hear it's going to be held in Des Moines, Iowa.

Blazing up the corn fields. Killing innocent cows. Banging the farmer's daughter. Running over farm animals and neighbors miles down the road with a stolen tractor. Knifing chickens.

Awesome!!!! I'm up for it

^ Man, that idea fills my head with the idea of driving over people with a combine.

GTA: Apocalypse. A mix between a Mad Max film (crazy people everywhere) and a zombie thriller (the dead from the "event" still walk the streets) with a surprise around every corner. Run down towns, showrooms full of new cars and streets full of rust buckets. The main goal: getting from one coast to a "safe haven city" on the other whilst doing jobs and helping out others along the way. EG, a guy flags you down and asks you to help bust into a few buildings and rescue his trapped gf/daughter. He then rewards you in some way or gives more missions, etc. When you eventually reach the safe haven you build your way up to being boss of the lawless city by going outside the city limits and getting things needed, stopping the undead outsiders form getting in and setting the city up to become liveable once again.

Either that or they did a GTA: London 1969. They could do the same but for modern day, with lots of missions where we get to take out corrupt politicians. Or recreate Guy Fawkes and try (but succeed this time) to blow up the Houses of Parliament.
