i recently got to play a gt5-demo; and there is just one word that describes driving the mercedes sls amg on the nürburgring nordschleife:
awesome
unbelievable how much time polyphony is spending on developing that game - but the waiting will be worth it!
btw: it's supposed to be possible to transfer the cars that you own in gt5 prologue and in gt (psp) to gt5 so that you benefit from the time you've already invested and don't have to start from the ground up.

Yeah they have done that before with the previous prologue game. I have had prologue for over a year and played the **** out of it, got nearly all it has to offer.... but I'm not going to transfer it all into gt5! No way I want the full experience from this game, I've waited long enough for it :tongue:
For any Brits did you see it has the Top Gear test track!!! Gunna be sooo cool trying to beat The Stigs times

The best thing about this is that Polyphony decided that no matter what,this will be the greatest racing game of all time.Of course we all knew that this game was going to have a ridiculous amount of cars and courses,but then they actually said fuck it,let's go all out.
Transitional day to night racing,weather effects,realistic car damage,more cars to race against per track.This game has me foaming at the mouth with anticipation.

why not
there are not many contenders this year
Mass Effect 2 can win it but games which release at the start of the year are very much forgotten by the end of the year
SMG2 can win it,it got many perfect scores
and GT5 OFFCOURSE
the only other game was LBP2 but got delayed.that would have surely won many GOTY awards
I loved GT4, but I don't like the new controls or how the X button isn't sensitive

I ask the question of can it actually win GOTY is because while it will no doubt be great,it still has the stigma of being "just a racing game",which I wholeheartedly disagree with,but it's still there.
Plus,There were some really solid titles that came out this year that you forgot to mention like God Of War 3 and Red Dead Redemption,plus Fallout New Vegas is still coming out soon.

well they were little big planet 2 and super mario galaxy 2
super mario galaxy 2 got alot of perfect scores
totally agree i don't like it being singled out
as it is perfection in its genre
fallout new vegas surely won't win in.it seems to be the same thing and bethesda isn't making it
