Hate to break it to you, but like I did with Eminem, Off the Wall is not Michael Jackson's debut solo album. Got to Be There, Ben, Music & Me, and Forever, Michael all preceded Off the Wall when Michael was still with Motown Records. Off the Wall is Michael's debut Epic Records album, but 5th overall.

Yep, when people ask me what Michael Jackson albums I own, I usually say I have all of the albums from Off the Wall to Immortal (his latest posthumous album), because I don't have the first four. Although, I do have his version of "Ain't No Sunshine" which was on his debut solo album Got to Be There.

If we really wanted to get technical we could throw the Jackson Five in there. I still am surprised 'Off the Wall' isn't his debut though.

Even though I like ENSLAVED's "Frost" better, "Vikinligr Veldi" was way ahead of its time, and it's just a beautiful and cold Viking Metal album.
