It does look like it's set in a rural or 2nd/3rd world area...

I grew up in a house full of his paintings and sculptures. They weren't originals, of course. Still, he was awesome.

I admire his work too, focused on western and frontier life from the looks of it.
 
Bob Ross might not have been the most technically savvy or artistically talented painter in our history, but anybody that can promote the concept of "happy accidents" is okay in my book.

Bob Ross was the guy with the 'fro right? I would watch him paint just fascinated then he'd spackle a glob of paint over what I thought was a perfect picture and I'm thinking "what are you doing? you ruined it." But with every stroke it just got better and I quit complaining. That's what she said.
