Reading the book suggestion thread dave_rhino post got me to thinking. About talented people in have died young….sadly many by their own hand.

So many smart people that gave so much and in most cases still had much more to give. I say that because I feel sadly that some left us because for whatever reason they felt they had no more to give. Why is it that genius and the snapping twig always seem to go so hand in hand? Is it the stress of so many expecting so much of them? High expectations others set for you I know first hand can be very debilitating. Or in the case of whom ever comes to your mind, do you think possibly they just felt they had indeed failed themselves? Having set their own expectations to high.
What person stands out most in your mind ? Who would you like to see still here most and why, what do you feel we have missed as a society because they left us so early?
