It's a series and at times it can be a little childish, but the action more than makes up for it.

Thanks folks. There are movies that I have and haven't seen on your lists. I'll check them out. I did have one more question, though. Is there a sequel to Spriggan? I watched it and it left it kinda open, IMO.

I'm sorry, but I went wrong with Akira. I'm I the only person that didn't care for this movie? You think if I would have read the manga I would have enjoyed the movie more?

I saw Fists of the North Star and while it is the kind of action i'm looking for, the story left much to be desired. Plus, the animation was just okay.
I primarily want movies, but I'll settle for series if it's really good. What do you guys think of the Berserker series?

Heard of it but have only seen small clips. If I remember correctly, it's a bit on the humorish-side, isn't it?
Yeah, it does have some humor...it's not over the top, bloody violence but it does have some good action scenes and I thought the characters were pretty cool. But, yeah, it is more light hearted than some of the other suggestions. Still good, though.
