But do we really still call them "black"? I saw a massive discussion on Boobpedia about their "black" category. Now many say you've got to say Afroamerican, but that excludes all other people with dark ("black") skin who are not American. Difficult not to offend anyone.

As for Ebony: Ebony is one of the most expensive and luxurious woods, so I always thought of "Ebony" as something like a compliment to a "luxurious" skin colour that normal average whites like me will never be able to achieve.

As a black guy, I have no qualms about the term 'black'. Its simple, efficient and it works. No reason to change it, or get uppity.
