I absolutely refuse to use Google. I have Yahoo as my default and when searching porn/babes resort to other resources. Google receives no hits from me...

You search for things in your own home.

It's illegal for the government or any private company to violate your privacy.

It's inadmissible evidence as far as the Constitution and Bill of Rights are concerned. :hatsoff:

So they have a record of my search for "James Buchanan inauguration"? Oh no. The horror.
/end sarcasm.
I frankly rarely do my porn searches via a search engine - and when I do, well, so what? If the government is interested in my searches for girls gone wild, then more power to them.

That is horrible. Almost as bad as Obama's inauguration.

Poor, sore loser. :crying:

Aww, it'll be okay..In the mean time in honor of GWB facilitating the turning of Afghanistan into the opium capital of the world... just take a little morphine for the pain.;)

So what if they are recording the IP addresses etc. In order to do something useful/malicious you would need to tie the IP back to a specific user. Since most ISPs use dynamic addresses this is likely to change about once a day. So the IP you are browsing with today will most likely be different on another day. So in order for Google/Governments to do anything useful would most likely need co-operation of ISPs. This recording of information in this way is nothing new anyway, has been going on for some time now.

Thank you for pointing out something that should've been obvious to everyone in the first place.

I find it peculiar that no-one has any issue with ISPs and the fact that they have full IP logs of everything users do, and they delete the information at the earliest years later.

But oh yeah, Google has seemingly become the provider of all things evil
