Most of the 'alt porn' stars seem to enjoy their work. Joanna Angel in particular, Pixie Pearl, Charlotte Stokely, Riley Mason, Dana DeArmond, Kimberly Kane etc. I'm probably being a bit idealistic here but there is a certain ethic with those guys that means they should enjoy it more. For example at Vivid Alt they talk about casting men that are good looking enough for female viewers, and of course performers, to get a kick out of it. If you have some fat old guy angry-fucking some beautiful young starlet it just reinforces the idea that porn is nasty exploitation for the enjoyment of men alone. And let's face it, times are changing and I am lucky enough to know several girls that are genuinely into watching porn. The other side of the coin is that most of those pornstars have done their time on more mainstream projects and maybe done things that were nasty or boring that they didn't really want to do. Having said that, how many of us can say that we always enjoy our jobs?
