getting redirected

hi there. first off let me say that i am a tech novice. i know zip zero about how browsers work.

sorry.

i'm good at other things, i swear.

so i'm enjoying using the site, i'm real new here. but when i clock links in posts, sometimes safari (mac OSX) will get redirected to sites that end i .php

i dunno what php is. and i understand that the sites they are linking (fake google searches, shit porn etc etc) are scams pretty much.

but it's very frustrating. not only in regular browsing, but in PORN browsing of all things when you know the good shit is there and you just can't get to it because your browser is getting hijacked.

any able to help me understand what's going on there and any remedies?

i appreciate it marvellous much

thanks

What happens is the original page is gone, usually because the site is no longer operating. You are then being redirected to a site which has bought the domain name of the now defunct site.

If you are getting redirected frequently. You must have a few adwares within your computer.

Install one free anti-malware programme and you will be saved at least a little. Using Mozila browser saves a lot of adware. It's real friendly.

"Spybot search and destroy" is a good anti-malware program to have.

I have a bookmarklet for removin redirects. I ususally encounter redirects on TGP's. Heres teh bookmarklet

Remove Redirects

In theory, you can just drag it to ure bookmarks

thanks for all the help guys. i'm on mac and not a huge fan of mozilla. i thought that macs we're operating some kind of black magic that made them impenatrable to adware, spyware etc.

is this bull?

i guess so.

Harder yes, impenetrable no. It sounds like you have a trojan horse for Macs called DNS Changer which probably would have installed itself when you thought you were installing a video codec

Try the free software here - it worked for me.
