Germany is the best country in the known universe

Conspiracy...
here are just a few things we invented:
  • Airbag, who cares.
  • Automobile, The large-scale, production-line manufacturing of affordable automobiles was debuted by Ransom Olds at his Oldsmobile factory in 1902. This concept was greatly expanded by Henry Ford, beginning in 1914.

We will go with Henry Ford.
  • Beer, Ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia, probably before
  • Computer, The History Channel disgrees. They found an ancient computer. :D
  • Gummi Bear, How about that.
  • Television,
Paul Gottlieb Nipkow's design would not be practical until advances in amplifier tube technology became available in 1907. Even then the device was only useful for transmitting still "halftone" images - represented by equally spaced dots of varying size - over telegraph or telephone lines. Later designs would use a rotating mirror-drum scanner to capture the image and a cathode ray tube (CRT) as a display device, but moving images were still not possible, due to the poor sensitivity of the selenium sensors.

His version wasn't practical so you can't claim that. ;)

Waht else did you lie about? :D

You forgot Hitler was in Germany and so many other evil people including vain philosophers and philosophies. . :nono:

You know, Germany has lots of good things, and some bad things, but I've got to say the worst thing that Germany ever did was invent sauerkraut!

Are we going to hear "Deutchland uber alles" again??:scream::1orglaugh

Question:If someone started a thread called "The United States of America is the best country in the known universe", how long would it take before it turned into an all out flame-war?

3 posts. :yesyes:

I was just watching on PBS that Germany, the nation, will be using solar power for 30% of its energy need by 2020. The Gov't has set the market price for energy and any homeowner who pays to install solar tech basically MAKE money with the way the energy prices are set. The Govt pays consumers .50cent/per KW created by solar, and charges people .20cents per KW. Talk about incentivizing people to do something smart...

Too bad we're like 50 years behind this thinking.....

Yup. Most of America owes its precision, timing and infrastructure to a German model. If it wasn't for Germany, South Africa might have very well fallen apart by now.

Plus, Brianna Banks is German.
