Germanwings Airline Crash: voice recorder recovered. Pilot was locked out of the cockpit.

Conspiracy...
Will, I try to say this as calm as possible, but PLEASE take your tie reflecting on this post you wrote. It has to be a muslim, because he cashed a plane? You are showing exactly the islamophobia that is spread so far over our western hemisphere. Can you grasp the concept that unstable minds exist in any religious background? And IF the man was muslim, it really does not chanhge that much.

I am posting information, nothing has been confirmed, as of yet.

I also have a link that he might have been another type of terrorist.

Nothing can be ruled out yet

There's no legitimate news source that is making any claims or even suggesting the possibility that Lubitz was a "radical Muslim" and there is no evidence to back up such a claim. At this point, such conjecture without substantiation is exactly what Supadupa says it is....Islamophobia. Let's let the investigators do their research before we start suggesting motives for which there is no basis in fact at this point in time.

:nono:
If nothing has been confirmed, it ain't information, it is theory.
Information is based on (and proved by) actual FACTS

Yes. Or Reuters, AP, NBC, CBS, ABC, NY Times, Washington Post, Chicago Tribune, London Daily Mail, Rheinische Post or any other legitimate news source.
Don't forget AFP, it known as one of the most credible and accurate news agency in the world. And since we're talking about investigations by french police and led by a french prosecutor, I guess a french news agency is quite qualified to release the most accurate informations about the investigations.

I am going to speculate for a moment. I believe that he didn't think about suicide until after he other pilot left. He was pissed on receiving the letter not to fly. What condition that was in the letter was present. He chose to fly anyway. He probably thought about this during the flight that this will be the last time he flies. I would think that he would be too busy flying to think much about it until that point. Then that little voice said do it when it was quiet and he had time to think about his actions. But to be honest we are trying to find reason in thoughts that a reasonable person would not have done.

In a very recent article in FOCUS, a german paper, a former girlfriend of the co-pilot is cited to have said:

"He told me he would one day do something that would make everybody know his name, people would remember him" (Not 100% literary, she said it in German)

I am afraid he had this plan for some time, and the situation when the pilot left the cockpit was just what triggered it, finally he saw his chance. Again: This is speculation.

make everybody know his name
ah yeah? actually i don't remember is fucking name and i don't give a shit!
that's typical loser attitude "look at me" but at the end no one's care about his shitty face!
the only ones that we think is the poor passengers who lost their life because of a scumbag.
and i guess his family will be proud of him...

Well, y'all can take your Islamophobic "information" and stick it where the sun don't shine. The dude had severe manic-depressive issues that he deliberately hid from Lufthansa. This is a very scary disclosure that outlines a serious flaw in the airline employment process....the fact that a suicidal and bi-polar lunatic can hide his condition from his employer to keep his commercial ticket active and current. This has got to change immediately.

German media reports have revealed that Andreas Lubitz, the co-pilot of Germanwings Flight 9525 who deliberately crashed the plane and killed all 150 people on board, suffered from depression. Lubitz's flight training was interrupted due to a "severe depressive episode'" six years ago, which required treatment for a year and a half.

The German newspaper Bild cited medical records shared by police and airline sources that showed that in 2009, Lubitz's flight training was put on hold after a "severe depressive episode." The pilot required 18 months of psychiatric treatment before he was allowed to continue his training.

On Thursday, police searched an apartment belonging to Lubitz in Dusseldorf, as well as the home of his parents in Montabaur in western Germany.

Investigators have speculated that the 28-year-old German citizen had suffered from a "personal life crisis" that may have revolved around problems with his relationship with his girlfriend.

Marseille prosecutor Brice Robin revealed that the fatal plane crash at the French Alps on Tuesday was deliberate. Black Box audio recordings provided evidence that Lubitz locked himself inside the cockpit after the captain, Patrick S., had stepped out. Lubitz then activated the plane's descent and reprogrammed the autopilot to change the plane's altitude from 38,000 to 100 feet.

The captain can be heard banging on the door and trying to get in, but Lubitz refuses to open the door. No sounds are heard from the co-pilot during the entire descent, beside his steady breathing.

"The most plausible interpretation is that the co-pilot, through a voluntary act, had refused to open the cabin door to let the captain in. He pushed the button to trigger the aircraft to lose altitude. He operated this button for a reason we don't know yet, but it appears that the reason was to destroy this plane," Robin said.

BBC News noted that several airlines around the world have now promised to change their rules and ensure that at least two crew members are in the cockpit at all times.

Lufthansa, the German airline that owns Germanwings, has expressed its "shock" at the news of the deliberate actions.

Carsten Spohr, Lufthansa's CEO, said, however, that Lubitz had resumed his flight training only after his suitability was "re-established." The airline added that the Germanwings co-pilot also passed all psychological tests before he was given his license.

"He passed all the subsequent tests and checks with flying colors," Spohr said. "His flying abilities were flawless."

Lubitz joined Germanwings in September 2013, and had 630 flight hours under his belt at the time of the crash.

Those who knew Lubitz have said that they are at a loss for how to explain his actions.

Peter Reucker from Westerwald flight club, where Lubitz was also a member, described the co-pilot as a "very nice young man."

"[He was] funny, sometimes a bit quiet, but apart from that a young man like many others that we have here. He integrated well," he added.

"I'm absolutely speechless. I have no explanation for this."

And this from the Christian Post....and not a single mention of the possibility he was a Muslim.

From articles out in current papers, there are two important issues, still:

A - the Blackbox is still missing, it does not send a signal. That makes it tough to find.

B - The french investigators are using the possibility that the plane got crashed by conscious decision of the co-pilot as a working theory. It is still also possible it was a technical problem, as they say. I believe that the probabilties are in favor of the first theory, but nothing's solid as of now.

I'm afraid the flight data recorder was possibly destroyed by the severity of the impact. If they haven't found it yet, they likely won't. It's bright orange markings are usually very easy to spot.

Unless there is something of an extreme magnitude that has not been disclosed, there's no way this was a mechanical issue....FDR or not. The CVR clearly shows what happened....Lubitz locked the pilot in command out of the cockpit and purposefully calibrated the autopilot into a descent that emanated in a crash into the mountains at over 500 mph. That's no mechanical issue in my book.

I am 95% sure it is like you and I think. But I am just not that much of a pilot or aircraft specialist. The most specialised I got was play Jan'e Apache Longbow on my computer. But I quit it because it got too complicated.

If I remember correctly, the recorders are placed in 2 separate areas because crashes prior destroyed both because they were in the same place. This way there is a better chance if one is near the front/center and the other at the rear.

So they did find the 2nd one. It seems our guy actually sped up right before crashing.
