it was total bummer for me last night when i found out. i always thought those jokes about god whould get him in trouble some day but iwas not expecting this very sad indeed!!!
He was the anti-establishment spokesman. An icon of counterculture. He raised the conciousness level of everyone who heard him speak. He will be sorely missed. A huge loss for the unapologeticly unreligious.

I was so disheartened when I heard this late last night.
at the same time though I was sort of expecting it,
He had a history of heart problems and I knew he wasn't going to live to a really old age.
but knowing that didn't soften the blow.
I can't help but want to hear is routine on his own death,
especially after his routine about religion when he said on stage "ok I'll up the anti, if there is a God may he strike me dead, unless it's Joe Pesci".
George would have a great routine about this.

Damn. I can think of like 30 or 40 people I would wish death on, and George certainly wasn't one.
