Has anyone else ever noticed that there are very few members here who are from Asia, Africa, Central America, South America, and certain parts of the middle east?

Maybe it's a language gap issue, (or maybe it's governments' censorship limiting certain online access) but it actually surprises me quite a bit that we don't have more members here from those parts of the world. Since the internet is a global thing, I wonder why we don't have more members from these places since, after all, sex is the "international language." lol

Perhaps we aren't so many, but we are members of great quality.

Here, in south america, we have many gaps, but political censorshit is not one of them. We live in democracy (yeah, right!), but I think the main reason is economic. Not everyone have access to internet, personally I don't even own a PC

I agree with this. It is probably mostly economic. The fact that most of the porn we watch comes from the US and Europe probably contributes to it also.

well if you think about it, freeones mostly has American and European models on the site. no fault there though since America and Europe have the largest and most porn and model agencies in the world.

i'm sure most people in these other countries are able to find sites in their languages with their women. and also, some countries do have laws on pornography. Turkey and Korea (can't remember which one) for example. I believe some Middle Eastern countries have laws too.

I had a terp tell me a little bit about the Muslim religion a while back, it's pretty strict. I wish I could remember what exactly he said cause I'm afraid I'm going to say this wrong, but I think its supposed to be a sin for them to masturbate, or at least I know during their Ramadan (sp?) holiday, I know they can't.

I'd agree with you Nightfly except for the South American part: imo we have plenty of members from Braizil, Peru and Argentina. Sometimes they don't list it, but I can see it in their IP addresses.

It's a shame that more of these members don't actively join discussions, BNF. It'd be nice to share points of view with them.

I think the most prominent/outspoken South American member who I can recall is darkman, and he mainly posts links (doesn't discuss too many things).

We need to get these various people from out of the proverbial woodwork! The world is a great big place and people should share their views and cultures with each other! :nanner: :thumbsup:

I think this brings up another problem with the language difference. It might be one thing to understand what you read and another to be fluent enough to share your views in a complex manner. It might make them more apprehensive to share their ideas. I know I probably would be, especially when my culture and the way I live might be vastly different from them. I wouldn’t want a miscommunication that makes people get upset with me.

i would have to say thats its probaly a economic/ country censorship/ language and possible religion thing for some people and places. most places like Africa though i would think more economic cause the majority isnt the wealthies in some areas. but i would think there are people from egypt and south Africa on here cause those places arnt to to poor. but who know. maybee there just on other sites.......

Lol. I think all of the reasons in this thread are potentially valid depending on the country...

I know in some countries all the internet has to go through a government run router. This router filters out all content the government doesn't want it's citizens looking at. Malaysia is pretty strict about what can be shown in that country and China is also. Another like people have said is language. English isn't that easy of a language to learn so people from different countries probably don't know the exact way to say things in English. So when foreigners write something that isn't perfectly clear people bash them for it.
