To begin with, nobody's targeted Arabs as a "racial group". And beyond that, Arabs aren't even a race or ethnicity...the term refers to those who speak Arabic (a Semitic language). Criticizing Islam or mentioning "towel heads" has nothing to do with race.
Your comments are equivalent to saying that criticizing Christianity is racist towards Europeans. It's dumb.

I saw that right after I wrote this. Well said as well. Unfortunately, racism accusations have been a popular form of silencing criticism over the last couple years. Hopefully people will wake up to how ridiculous it comes off. :dunno:
First of all none of us know what his contract says. As an American it is your right to not only free speech, but also to participate in the political process. You employer cannot tell you what politics that you have to follow- which is essentially what they are doing by telling him he is not allowed to criticize a political organization. I think this guy has a very good case for appealing his termination.
Well, considering the company has to protect it's image, regardless of what they thought of tea partiers, you can't just let an employee of your company insult potential or current customers, bad PR. I mean, if an employee at their office left a voice message at the office of the DNC asking how many retarded employees they had, I'm sure he would also be canned. Now this guy even worse since he was, sort of, in character. Remember what happened to Pee Wee Herman by the way?
