Gas Hogs? or Econo

right now my car is a 1989 Pontiac grandam. The gas gauge is busted, so I really don't have any idea how many MPG it gets. I don't drive very often, maybe once a week.

I thought economy cars are rated 30 mpg or more?

I drive a Nissan Maxima which gets around 25 mpg. Not bad.

My 2005 Chevy Malibu is supposed to get 32 MPG, but I think that number is closer to 20-25 MPG.

i have a Hummer H3, which gets 18 mpg (combined about 1/2 highway and 1/2 city). not as bad as the econuts think. i also ride a motorcycle, which gets over 40 mpg.

Car twins! Yeah, my Malibu is a 2001 with over 100K on it and it gets around 20-25 in town...26-28 highway. However, the mileage doesn't go to total shit as the car gets older. The only time I get horrible mileage is when it's about time for an oil change.

High five! What color is yours? Mines what they call "Light Driftwood," which is that really common goldish tanninsh color that you see on cars everywhere. Yes, I think mine gets worse gas mileage when it's due for an oil change, such as the case has been for the past almost 2,000 miles.

Rattrap

Doesn't feed trolls and would appreciate it if you
I have a... 2005 Jamis Commuter. ∞ miles per gallon (this is a misnomer, as it hasn't any tank to put any gallons in).

I only have to buy half as many tires, too.

Mine's white...or whatever fancy name they put on it.

I really liked the Chevy Malibu Maxx...I rented one in 2006 and was amazed with the mileage--a true 30-34 and a 6 cylinder engine too..it was a great car. Too bad Chevy pulled the plug. I'm thinking of trading my car in and trying to find a Malibu Maxx.

Last summer, I made a huge mistake and sold my VW Jetta in order to drive an '06 Sentra because it was 12 years newer than my Jetta and I "got a nice family discount" on it. Big mistake. The thing's a piece of shit and gets 22 in town and 25 on the highway. I think it's one of those "Katrina cars" to be honest...the engine feels like it's flooded with seawater and drives like it is too...I can't wait to get rid of it. I have to wait until Fall to do so...

I have a Dodge Ram 1500 with a HEMI...GAS FRICKIN HOG. 16mpg at best.

but....I just got rid of my V8 Grand Cherokee and bought a Nissan Versa. 32 mpg and I'm loving it. I drive 100 miles round trip commuting each day, so it's saving my arse in fuel.

2003 malibu, but i haven't driven it for over a year. gas mileage was good, though.

i use the ultimate economy method of transportation: my own 2 feet!

i hate traffic, tickets, accidents, and routine car maintenance and i was pissed when gas went up above $2, so i don't see driving as all that appealing.

1988 Olds Cutlass Calais. Not sure what the mpg is but I fill it up about every 10-14 days.
