So I finally got something cool and usable for Christmas, a Garmin 200W GPS and its fucking insane!

Living in Los Angeles, I defiantly needed this. Its only about $200 and has tons of features.

I bought a 230W about a year ago. It's cool having the widescreen, and it's nice knowing you can go anywhere and not have to read a map or ask for directions, it always knows where you are!

I've used a garmin nuvi on a couple trips and just recently bought myself a tom tom (not sure which model, everyone else was getting it at the store so I said what the hell I'll get it) already used it once. nice little unit

I have a Magellan unit that is pretty good but if I could get any unit out there right now it would be the 775 Nuvi unit from Garmin. They have a virtual view that is state of the art....better than anything I have seen outside the aviation world. Here's a screenview:

nice!

Thing that pissed me off is the unit came with a dashboard mount, which is a one time use. If you move it, the adhesive wears off. Wish I would of read that before I did it :fight:

The windshield mount is great but Im worried at times that it will pop off. Its done it a few times on me already.

GPS is fuckin awesome! I don't have one, but I have used one on the delivery truck and really I dunno how I ever got along without it.

Garmin sells a relocatable dash mount that has a weighted non-slip base and a ball joint you can pop in and out. I bought one at the same time as my GPS and I'm happy with it. It's also nice to be able to take it off the dash easily, because a GPS mount on the dash is a sign that says "There's a GPS in my glove box!"
