it's interesting to see the fall off of views from her youtube videos. In 2017 and early 2018, she could still get 10+ million views for a video. Now in 2019, she can barely muster 3 million and most videos only get to about 1-2 million views. I think the real tea here is she realized that she had not only peaked but was also losing popularity and given her various scandals and overall hard-to-stomach personality, she decided music full-time was her next career move since being just a youtuber wasnt going to be able to sustain her. Her fall off as a youtuber also coincides with youtubers peaking on a whole. If you weren't a super popular youtuber like david dobrik, liza koshy, PewDiePie, brother nature or the paul brothers etc. or didnt have a sustainable consistent platform like Philip DeFranco, then youtube really isn't going to sustain you. 2 or 3 years ago, during the youtube/youtuber boom, you could live off solely youtube but more and more it's becoming obvious that if you didnt ride the wave to massive popularity or consistency, youtube will become more and more tedious to live off of because, like snapchat, youtube, while still popular, has peaked in terms of being a youtuber. it also probably burns her than her former friends liza and david rode the wave to massive popularity while she has slowly fallen off and she is a lot older than them both (they're both 23 this year, she's in her late 20s)
