It would be highly appreciated, if you post Gifs not via media-link, but with the Image-Share option, that is, download the Gif to your PC, then host it at a freehost site, and then share the direct link to the Gif.

Yeah. I tried that yesterday. Tried posting a visual link, because just posting a text-link without a picture on a picture thread is foolish. Didn't work after several tries using several techniques. So I gave it up. If posting a visual GIF is discouraged here, okay I guess. But I see very large pictures...and many of them...on most of these threads. I'll follow the rules as they are presently stated. No problem. I can see the point about memory usage. But that point extends beyond just GIFs. If I'm wrong about my GIF rule assumption, all the better. I was probably doing it wrong for this forum. This is why I don't do elaborate visual posts on any of these types of sites...too many varying restrictions and policies. It has just become easier to post text, allowed small pictures, and avoid things like direct GIF or video linking unless I see somebody else doing it and not being reprimanded.
