Freeones Fantasy Baseball League 2008

Thats right, its back for a 3rd year and the fun just keeps growing with each season.
Last year saw some of the greatest weekly matchups and a nailbiting end to the playoffs as AsOver8's nudged out yours truly to win the championship.
14 teams started the season and 12 or 13 finished it, truly a great year.
so that calls for another crack of the bat

Anyone interested in joining for another year, just post a message in this thrread or send me a PM and i will send details on how to sign up.
its on yahoo fantasy sports and follows the same rules as last year.
H2H weekly
AB, R, H, HR, RBI, SB, AVG
IP, W, L, SV, K, ERA, WHIP

20 teams can enter. please only sign up if you will stick it out with your team for the whole season.

I'm huge into baseball, I would like to join. I have no clue how fantasy sports work though.

yes its free to join and fairly straight forward...once the season starts and you draft your team, if you have any questions email another league member, they would be more then willing to help out

rules clarification

I'm no noob to fantasy baseball, but I've never played in a setup like this.

Is it a points based H2H and if so how many points are each category worth?

Also could we do away with the 30 transactions limit ? IMO the most fun thing about fantasy baseball in the wheelings and dealings (trades/waiver/FA pickups) to try to improve your team anyway you can. The limit thing would definitly throw a cold blanket on those things - especially early in the season.

If not, then no big deal. I'll probably sign up for a couple of other leagues anyway. Just thought I'ld throw it out there.

ok heres some points spooner
30 max limit has to stay or else people begin streaming pitchers.
as in, i have 5 pitchers pitching everyday solidifying me winning IP, W, SV, K for the most part every week.
also, the H2H, each stat cat is worth 1 point.
so if i win all the hitting cats and you win all pitching your record would be 7-7-0.

should be fun all, we are at 10, looking for 2 more would be great, 4-6 more would be awesome as well
