Foxes

yeah if they're not bothering anything leave 'em be. foxes are cool animals anyway.

Your foxes must be a whole lot different to the European fox we have down here.......next time l'm out picking up a new born dead lamb after being killed by a fox l won't have a second though about what to do

I say mate with them. You can start the FoxMan or the Vulpestaur race!

Really though, if they're not bothering you or anyone else, why bother them? I have a feeling if you did end up getting rid of them you'd miss them if even for a little bit, since you had to ask us what to do

Sorry l don't understand.......Down here in Australia we have the European Fox they kill 10,000's new born lambs every year and other native animals..... they are so bad here that there is a bounty on each one you shoot.

And no l didn't ask you what to do.......next time l'm out picking up dead lambs after they have been killed by a fox l won't have a second thought what to do!!

Call Fish and Wildlife. Animal Control probably won't have anything to do with foxes, whereas F&W will re-release them into an area not populated by people.

Sorry I should have said - my mother lives in North London nowhere near the countryside! London has a huge population of urban foxes and whilst national papers like to make up stories about foxes biting babies, I'm fairly sure you'd be more likely to be stabbed, shot or mugged than attacked by a fox. Most live on a healthy diet of Mc Donalds and other fast foods that London is littered with, my mums regularly has supermarket roast chicken etc .... remember foxes love Mc Donalds

Take them in as your own. Name them Megan, Michael J, Vivica A, Star and Kurama.

Racing is life... anything else is just waiting.
I wouldn't feed them or get friendly with them. But as long as they don't display any signs of rabies and they're not bothering anything or anybody, there's no real harm in letting them hang out. Just remember about the rabies thing though. Foxes are particularly bad about catching it.

BTW, I understand where Dazza MXM is coming from too. But unless there's something that Alex isn't telling us about himself, I don't think he has any sheep where he lives. Alex, do you have any sheep that you're not telling us about? Hmm? :busted:

Well, he said he was trying to push it through the hole in the fence. Why he had to do it naked, I don't know.

My neighborhood gets foxes trotting through all the time. They seem to be unconcerned about people, but I keep respectable distance just as they keep from me. Many animals seem to have that kind of unwritten code. That "I'm ok with you, you're ok with me, but we'll just keep our bit of distance".
My only problem with them is the noise they sometimes make at night. Very unpleasant. It took me a couple of years to figure out the noise was coming from them. I thought it might've been some kind of screech owl.
They're not like wolves. They don't howl.

You might have to turn up the volume to hear well enough.
