Why save the world, when you can rule it?
Good luck, I reckon you can beat it; you certainly got big balls, telling people on a forum that info.
I'm surprised some idiot didn't type something nasty to you.
Cancer is a strange and unpredictable thing - not necessarily a death sentence. :)

I am very sorry to hear what you have to endure. I hope you will pull through, just keep your faith as strong as titanium and as sharp as a katana, believe in the medecine. Think positive and may god and the angels be with you. Godspeed and good luck to you my friend.

One thing I never understood is Docs telling patients how long they have to live.

I mean, :wtf:...talk about assholery on the highest order. Be frank with a patient but don't guess how long they have to live...because that's all they can do..is guess.

The patient spends their last days waiting and expecting to die instead of learning how to live (which is something people only do when faced with the prospect of mortality).

Tell the patient from what you can see the prognosis is not good but live like you will be around for the next 100 years. Nothing extends life and quality of it like a positive outlook.

In my experience doctors don't just blurt out how long they believe a patient has left - they either ask if the patient wants to know or are asked by the patient how long they have (the latter of the two being the most common). If I were in that situation I personally wouldn't want to know, but whether it's out of morbid curiosity or just to put a time limit on things some people just need to know. So they ask and the doctor complies with their wishes.

Of course I'm sure there are certain doctors or certain times when a time limit has come out without the patients consent. But as I pointed out I can't speak for those times and I don't believe it's that common. Or if it now is, it definitely shouldn't be.
