Found Ipad2 64gb 3G on bus.

I once found a guy's leather jacket with his wallet that had no cash,but all kinds of credit cards and ID.I searched for any number that I could contact him and found one.Long story short,I once lost a wallet with all my stuff in it,and it's one of the worst feelings in the world,and I never want anyone else to have that feeling.

Props to the OP for doing the right thing.It always feels better to do good things for people than to screw them over.

Also,props to everyone that posted with positive response to the OP.It really shows that most people would rather do good things for others than screw them over.

I wouldn't have thought twice about trying to find the owner. If I lost something like that, I'd like to believe someone else would go through the effort for me. Unfortunately, I don't have much faith in human kind these days so I wouldn't hold my breath, but it doesn't mean I have to devolve into a dishonest, thieving scum.

Was another reason why I felt I had to. I just bought a Galaxy S3 and thought if I lost my phone would somone return it to me.

Actually I entered that contest early morning the same day. I found the Ipad at night.

I would have taken a picture of my cock before I returned it.

That karma thing is a bitch. We all like finding good stuff to keep. But once it can be traced back to the owner that fucking karma thing kicks in. Money found on the floor is great. Watching it fall sucks but I always remember that it will be paid back at some time.

I give credit to my Karma loving wife. She has impacted me on this matter for many years. If I didnt know her I probably would have kept it like I originally thought to.

But on the flip side, these days, many mobile devices and laptops have apps that can track the devices if lost or stolen.

Problem with the iPad though is had you kept it, the user could just have easily remote wiped and locked it so shortly after finding it all you'd have is a shiny paperweight.

Prior to my Karma kicking in I had already deactivated the tracking app and disabled wifi connections which I was no where near anyhow. Wasnt sure about the 3G thing though if it had data service and if could have been found that way. I even had excuses if cops came knocking at my door. "I bought it from some guy on the streets officer, it was a steal of a deal."

I remember back in college my roommate and I found a wallet in the downstairs computer room. There was $80 in it. We debated if we should take the money (we were always going to return the wallet). We decided to return the wallet with $60 and gave it to the front desk. We used the $20 we took to buy some whiskey and get drunk.


But an ipad is different, I'd probably return it but not without putting a dick pic as the background

Most times i give stuff back like wallets, phones..etc since i know the hassle of loosing them but if i found an ipad i may have thought twice. Probably would have handed it back if i'm honest but would have had to think first before i did.
