Foster child drowns in pool, parents question DHS.

After their two-year-old child Sky Dawn drowned in a swimming pool Sunday, Melissa and Rocky Word spoke out against the Department of Human Services.
Sky was taken from Melissa and Rocky Word, her biological parents, four months ago.


Three of the couple's children were in foster care at the home because of past alcohol problems between the parents. The Words said they were attending parenting classes and making progress, but now they want answers from DHS.

This is just another example of SHITTY parents who don't care about their children until it's too late. God, I just went off on some stupid bitch earlier tonight, and now this.

Why are these parents upset with DHS? Why aren't they upset with, gee, I don't know...themselves? :dunno: If they would've been good parents in the first place and not have been stupid, childish, irresponsible fuck-up's that screwed around with alcohol until it became a big enough problem to have the DHS get involved, then their kids wouldn't have been taken away in the first place.

Yes, the foster home should be held responsible for their lack of supervision, which did contribute to this child's death, but these parents need to realize that they fucked up too. I honestly hope they don't get their other kids back, until they have years and years and years of this so-called "parenting class", because they obviously still have no fucking clue what it means to be a parent.
