.flv Converter Recommendations?

:bigear:

I have wondered the same thing for months now. I just figured it'd be easier to just leave them the way they are & spend 5 more seconds getting them to play.

Try VLC player.
I downloaded it a month ago when my real player stopped playing videos.

I was also going to suggest downloading a VLC player.
VideoLAN - what I recommend to my website members if they ahve problems viewing my .flvs. :)

I downloaded my FLV converter from download.com. It is called:

Free FLV Converter V 6.5.0 is what I have. Google it.

I use a Firefox add-on called DownloadHelper which not only downloads streaming video (be it flv, avi, whatever), but will convert flvs to a format of your choice. That said, it's a bit awkward - once the file finishes downloading, it starts converting automatically at the cost of most of your system resources, and once finished the end quality isn't great.

But then, flv quality isn't great to begin with, hence its smaller bandwidth requirements. I'd concur with the VLC Player recommendations so you can just watch the flv without conversion.
