On Thursday, Clearwater Police arrested 16-year-old Mychal King for the alleged murder of Jason Taylor Paul.

According to police, King admitted to killing Paul because he had a hard day and “just wanted to kill the first person he saw.”

Paul was riding his bike home late when he was stabbed to death in January. He was 22-years old, working two jobs and saving to go to school to become a veterinary technician.

While I am supportive of the death penalty in some instances, your cavalier attitude toward the subject is unsettling. Have you ever spoken to someone that was in perfectly good physical health and 10 minutes later watched them as life slipped from their body? Well I have as a witness to an execution. yes the guy was a murderer but even the victim's family were affected by seeing it. It is something that I will never do again, if I can help it.

First, Jesus said:

Second, Jesus forgave the woman "caught in adultery, in the very act." To those arguing that she should be put to death, Jesus said:

"He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first." John 8:7

Third, Jesus taught believers to forgive:

"But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." Mat. 6:15

Fourth, the New Testament teaches Christians not to judge:

What of the sentiment that "love one another" is actually the fulfillment of Old Testament Law, and Christ, who embodies love, and did not smite anyone, despite the fact that he was, himself, smited, fulfills God's wrath? That's some what substitution atonement theology, which I have some difficulty with, but it fits with your reasoning here.
