Fish Fridays For Lent: Whatcha Eatin'???

What kinda meatless stuffs you guys eat on Fridays during Lent? Last week I went to an El Salvadorian place and got this great seafood soup that was more like a chowder. This Friday I'm interested in trying Popeye's Flounder Sandwich. I hear it's darn good.

Yesterday I had a fish sandwich (homemade). Today, a fish burrito (Del Taco). Tomorrow very well could be fish sticks. The man in the yellow raincoat has never steered me wrong.

Do you have a La Salsa by your house? They make great Baja Shrimp Tacos. Good mango salsa too.

I like shrimp tacos. Don't got one of those anymore, but we do have a little Mexican shack that sets up outside. Great Baja style shrimp tacos. I gotta hit that place soon.

Try it, first one's free...
Fish Fridays? I'm going out of my way to eat steak and hamburgers. I've never understood why god would dictate when I can eat something but I shouldn't open that can of worms here.....mmmm....worms....

The Catholic church refused to baptize me as a baby, because my father wasn't Catholic, and they weren't married in a Catholic church....so I eat whatever I want on Friday.
Having said that, I love fish and seafood, and do eat it pretty often. Seeing as how I am a mere 30 minute trip to one the best resources for fresh Walleye and Lake Perch around, I can honestly say there's nothing like fresh caught Lake Perch, breaded and deep fried. It evan works good as a leftover cold from the fridge, as a snack.

As far as fast food goes, the Whaler from BK used to be the best, but it's gone to shit. Gotta go with McDicks Filet O Fish.

In the protestant tradition of my parents, I eat meat on Fridays. Even living on the shores of Lake Erie for a few years did not sway me.

My wife is a Catholic, a good one who actually cares about the teachings of Jesus, so I respect her traditions and consider myself a good husband and team player.

Here's another option for tonight, muchachos!

There's some halibut in my freezer. I'm happy about that. When its good, it's good. Not sure what it's fate will be, but I'm looking forward to it. Shrimp tacos still sound good too.
