I have seen a few posts on here that say that Firefox is a better browser especially when surfing for porn. What makes Firefox better when viewing porn? I have never used Firefox so I have no idea.

I used to hate firefox and macs. My teacher would always bring up internet explorer and microsoft sucks. He was half right. Firefox is the champ.
Loading times in general are faster.
It's def more secure than IE.
Easier features to remember passwords.
It makes your day happier knowing that you won't wait 2 hours for a page to load.

This new version of IE has a feature that I thought was kind of cool, it is called in private browsing, it makes it so that you session of IE is not rembered in the History, Cookies, etc. is there a similar function in Firefox?

firefox gives you the option of clearing all private data every time you close the program. clears all those things.
is that similar to the IE option you're talking about?
Oh that's true. I hate this feature. The faster loading time though makes it way better though.
why do you hate this feature? i like it. clears out temp files and make my computer run faster.
because it makes me wait 2-5 minutes to open up a new browser. I have a slower computer though since it's 4 years old.
In this Private Browsing feature, you turn it on and it automatically just doesn't keep your browsing info. At first I thought it was kind of weird but it makes it so you don't have to clear the history after looking at porn. I kind of a dumb feature but makes life easier... It seems like it is made just for the porn reason
Firefox has that same feature. It used to be an add-on, but now it comes with the program if you download...3.5 I think is the most recent one.
Get Firefox if you know what's good for you.

so, if you eliminated the wait to open the browser (as has happened with me), does that bring you into the "fold" of firefox believers?

I use firefox currently lol. My teacher was 50% right and it wasn't the MAC.

I don't know of anyone that still uses IE. Seriously, if they did, I'd probably look at them with the same disdain as someone who licks toilet bowls for pleasure.
Honestly, there's not much that differentiates any major browser specifically in relation to porn surfing. I prefer Firefox for a number of reasons, the most prominent being its security, speed and intuitiveness. But the truest reason why I use Firefox is because it's open source, and I'm all about the open source community. Matter of fact, I've got a couple of bug patches that I sent to Mozilla that I just found out a couple of days ago were integrated into the most recent 3.5.1 release.

I wish that was the case for me. Unfortunately, the majority of Internet users still use it because they're ignorant, and too stubborn to try anything new. IE 6, by far the worst iteration of any browser of all time, all by itself still has almost 24% of the browser share on the Internet. So any time you're out in public, you can bet that somewhere in the neighborhood of 80 out of every 100 people you see, use IE.
