Firefox 4.

Hello everyone!

Did you guys get the latest Firefox update yet? What do you think?

So far, I haven't found any improvements, but I'm wondering how much time and effort they put into moving everything around. The buttons and thingys I mean.

I can't tell you how many times I have clicked on the wrong thing today, just because it's in the wrong place.

It makes me wonder if they made this update just to fuck with everyone.

Oh look, a Google bar, I hadn't even seen that! So, what search engine do you use?

i was using dogreatgood for awhile but they went bye-bye. its a shame too, they raised a ton of money for animal shelters and stuff.

right now, im using bing. at least microsoft donates a ton of money to some good causes. plus theres some rewards program in bing right now and im hoping to turn some into cash to buy some stuff online ;)

I only got fire fox last night, I like it so far. Its improved upon and fixed a few problems in I.E 9 that Id noticed over time.

O.G.
I'm using 4.0.1.

Just takes some getting used to.

I'm having issues with tool bar tips - particularly URL's showing up properly.

Overall, I'm quite happy with this browser.

Hey, a completely unrelated question: You guys both have beautiful "sigs", did you make the yourself? Could you make one for me?

i made mine with either paint or photoshop and i suck at photoshop.

i figured someone with a monkey for an avvy would be on it with a sig!

im on my way out the door in a bit so if DOA cant do it, maybe when i come back. normally, i dont make em too special though.

im also very lazy.

I don't care much for the upgrade. My biggest complaint - why the hell did they put the tabs for tabbed browsing up above the bookmark toolbar and the URL toolbar? Just silly.

Well I, for one, think that Firefox 4 is a great update.
I understand how confusing it can be, but it seems like every software is going this way: slicker interface, trying to move technology out of the way and leave room for content. So bye bye menu bars.
For those who like the performance improvement but regret the old layout, it's possible to change that with two clicks (tabs under, menu bar...)

I've been using it for about a week. It seems quicker than the Firefox 3.x.xx I was using.
Has anyone found out how to get the name of the website you are on back on the blue banner at the top?

Still using the previous version/ and browser of choice is now the awesome Opera 11 /

V4 is a lot faster than 3.6

You have to tinker around in the Tools - Options, but I managed to get the name back at the top and the tabs are now under my bookmark toolbar.

it seems to eat up more memory to run than previous versions...but that's fairly common as new software comes out...also it keeps fucking up my ctrl+c

You can actually change that really quickly, just right click somewhere in the toolbar and you see an option to move the tabs underneath the address bar or vice versa.

I keep choosing [Ask Later] because I'm usually hot on the trail of something at the time and I don't need the interruption . . as if there aren't already enough interruptions on the internet. :o

Excuse me now while I work off line, for then I can finally get some work done around here. :D
