Some surprises here. My favorite, Newcastle Brown Ale(4.7%), has less alcohol than Budweiser(5.0%).

Unibroue Trois Pistoles is 9%
Koningshoeven Quadrupel Trappist Ale is 10%
Delirium Tremens is 8.5%

In the UK and I believe the EU all beers have to show their ABV by law.
DO NOT fall into the trap that the stronger the beer the better.There are some superb beers of all strengths.The real test of a brewer is to make a flavourful low strength beer, it's easy just to get flavour by shovelling more stuff in.

Son I have been drinking beer for 13 years and never saw a ABV on the side of it. and yes it does 10% but it is the 3rd strongest on the list Sam Adams trible bock is 17%

Labelling beer strength is apparently illegal in some American states which strikes me as crazy because many people drive and operate machinery .How can you judge things not knowing the strength of the beer?

Because most sane normal people won't get piss drunk and then decide to operate machinery.

In England, every beer has the % on the side of the bottle. Not just beer, every alcoholic drink has it on.

ukey: The only product with Budweiser on the label that I actually like is Budweiser Reserve. It has hints of Samuel Adams Boston Lager that I found rather surprising in an Anheuser-Busch brew.
