My mind is conflicted on which Final Fantasy I should play.

Should I make a new game on VII, VIII or maybe finish IX?

I'm assuming you've played all three but just haven't finished 9? I'd go with that one. FF7 is my favorite of all time but I did enjoy 9 as well. I didn't mind 8 but I just didn't like the battle system.

7 is the best. and unfortunately its been said to death. still, dont let that ruin it.

8...is kinda fun i guess.

and 9 is ok. not my favourite but still plenty playable.

i always say im going to make some weird different party next time i replay an FF, but i never do.

you could try that?

I clicked VIII but I meant to hit IX. Honestly VIII and VII are both not great games. VIII is just simply awful, and while VII is a meh game, it is absolutely over rated. IX is actually good, one of my favorites in the series.

I haven't finished 8 either. Damn you, Ultimecia!

those are the only 3 Ive ever played.

7 got me hooked
8 i barely remember
9 i enjoyed as much as 7

I would finish 9.

VIII is one of my favorites and a really great game, thought most would gush over VII.

Honestly,it's a damned shame what FF has become now on the new gen consoles.Never seen a more dumbed down RPG than XIII.

I know it is, but I want to do a perfect game.

In VIII you can eventually kill anything in a few minutes with the right limit breaks. Still good though I think. The first one I played and pretty much went through it twice.
Finished IX a couple of months ago after not getting around to it years ago, a lot of fun. Perfect game wise you would have to do 'impressing all the nobles', the jump rope challenge and speed run to excalibur 2 though. Could be a lot of grief.
Been having more trouble getting into VII, still about 15-20 hours in after buying off psn at the same time as IX.

The thing is,those limit breaks can be pretty hard to do sometimes, plus the fact that the frequency of the limit breaks isn't very high, like in XII,which relied heavily on them(though they weren't actually called limit breaks).

Your best bet for VIII was to have death equipped to Squall's Gunblade. It was pretty much instant death for most enemies.

Squall > All enemies in VIII

angelo.. i love that wishing star or whatyever its called.

damn...not i feel like playing that shit.

if your going for a PERF run, I'd say 7. Get to the crater and fight magic pots, until u have all master materias, Phoenix-final attack on all 3 of your main characters Cloud, tifa (or vincent), and Cid.
use Aeris until u get to disc 2 ofc.
