Final Fantasy

I sure do hope FF12 comes out soon. there have been rumors that it will be released for the ps3 and not the ps2. is it true?
While PS3 may come out b4 FFXII, it will still be on the PS2. This due to the fact that not everyone will have a PS3 and it would delay the game more for them to enhance it more to get the full potential from PS3.
The point of this post, however, is to answer the handful of simple questions that people never seem to tire of asking. For the sake of humanity, read this.
1. This game is not online. It will incorporate some elements of FFXI, specifically in the battle system, but it's completely single player and offline.
2. This game will be released for PS2, NOT PS3. Yes, the console is coming to the end of its lifespan. This game was intended for the PS2 since development started, and no matter when the game is released it will be for PS2.
3. There will not be an overworld map. I think we can pretty safely say that the interactive overworld map is a thing of the past for Final Fantasy. This game will have very expansive environments somewhat along the lines of an online RPG, not closed-in paths like FFX.
4. We don't care if you think Vaan is fruity. Seriously. Get over it.
There is no actually set release date for North America or Europe, but I know the estimated date for NA

North America-8/1/06- again this is not set in stone and is not the official release date, we most likely won't know the official release date until E3.

FF VII was the best game ever. I too played it for a whole year ans wasn't bored once!
I can't wait until the DVD sequel movie comes out in North America early this year.
