Favorite Vacation Spot

used to be Sanibel Island, but I moved here. Would have to say Orlando now. Love taking the **** there and watching them just flat-out have fun

I lived in the Clearwater/St. Petersburg area for 13 years and it was fun going to Orlando and Busch Gardens with the ****. I just got sick of the humidity, bugs and tons of retirees that can't drive...so I moved to Arizona

Marin County in Northern California is my paradise on ****** Earth :)

Myrtle Beach, SC golf capitol of the world.

I would like to go to Alaska to go fishing too.

Cooperstown, New York.
The area in itself is quite beautiful. Surrounded by hills and trees and a beautiful lake, Cooperstown is a rather small town.
It is also home to the Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. I've been there twice. Both times, during induction ceremonies.
This is the time of the year to go. It is quite remarkable to be browsing at their baseball card display, only to have Bob Feller sidle past you with a casual nod. Or to pass Ernie Banks looking at Three Finger Brown's plaque, a sideways smile on his face. Or to walk past a sidewalk cafe and see Johnny Pesky enjoying an afternoon lunch at a pizzeria.
Then there were the ceremonies. Bench. Yaz. Schoendienst. Harry Carrey singing "Take Me Out To The Ballgame". Seeing the stage full of legends: Aaron, Mays, Banks, Stargell, Mantle, Ford, Doerr, McCovey...it is simply overwhelming.
The next day (back then) was the Hall of Fame Game, which is no more. It was a joy to sit in Doubleday Field, watching a practice game with the Royals (they were supposed to play the Reds, who were stuck in Montreal that day). It had a great view, where again, the hills towering over the town were quite visible. Then, a few Hall of Famers joined the fun on the field - new inductee Johnny Bench took a few swings. The biggest cheer of the day went to the legendary Happy Chandler, who jogged onto the field, waving to the fans like he was a 20-year-old ***.
Baseball heaven.

For me it's probably Duluth, MN - on the southern most tip of the largest freshwater lake on the planet. Beautiful little town. Casino downtown and lots of Natives all over the place. Good golf courses there and just north of there. The women look good.

Although, I'm not rich...yet...and I'm only about a couple hours from the town, so that's subject to change in the future when I'm a millionaire. Like Bree, when I grew up it was Dells, WI, and I still enjoy it there. But it's become more of a ****** retreat.

if we are talking local then Northstar Ski at Tahoe
if we are talking non local then Aruba, its one happy island. says so on the car plates.

I have only taken 2 vacations in my adult life and both times was NYC. If I could afford it I would live there. It's the greatest city on Earth. There is always something to do and so much to see, it's the cultural capital of America.
