Favorite racing games?

So now I've played both MC:LA and NFS:UC, I've gotta say they've both got pros and cons.

MC:LA
pros - beautiful graphics, great sound, good solid frame rate and solid online play
cons - have to drive every fuckin where, to god damn hard

NFS:UC
pros - quick jump menu so you don't have to drive if you don't want to, easy
cons - graphics are :dunno: I've seen better, almost to easy.

I dunno, they are both fun. I'm glad I didn't bother to buy either!

I really dug NFS: Underground 1 & 2 but, fell out of love with NFS when they did Most Wanted.

Forza 2 and Pure are the last two racing games I bought.

Also the Tokyo Racer (Import Tuner Challenge on 360) has been a long time favorite of mine.

That was the last one I liked from NFS, infact my fav of the series.

Roadrash is a definitely all time favorite.

I have always liked the Project Gotham games, they used to be amazing online when all of my friends played it.
If I ever crave super-realistic racing I will go back to Forza 2, but can get bored with longer races.

Any and all Mario Kart games. It's the sole reason I bought a DS so that I could get my fix.

On the original Playstation I loved **** 2. The graphics aren't up to current standards but driving was realistic. Being a BTCC fan I liked driving round tracks I had been to or seen on tv and the way the cars had different characteristics.

I used to love test drive 2 on the SNES. I think that is why I found test drive unlimited so much fun.

Ridge Racer and Destruction Derby on PS1, and also Road Rash II on Sega Mega Drive.

Some people don't like the game, because no damage means no realism to them, but I still think the Gran Turismo series is the best to go around and love the fact they didn't put damaging in it so far.

When the full game comes out it will be fully featured with damage that you can turn on and off, and more cars...Possibly even better graphics, only time will tell.
Oh and Gran Turismo is by far THE worlds best racing game EVER created...EVER!

GT Legends on PC is a close second.
